Join us for our annual Crow Roost Twilight Bike Ride!
Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 5:30pm
NEW START LOCATION: Central Valley Greenway Bike Route at GARDEN DRIVE (one block west of Nanaimo)
Bring your wheels and meet other riders as we take off from the edge of the Still Creek watershed. All riders and abilities welcome; we will have designated Ride Leaders for different paces of travel such as a kids/slow pace and an adult moderate pace.
Details: 3.5km ride distance, on 95% separated bike route with street crossings, mostly gentle descent on the way there. Skytrain is an option for return travel. Warmth: dress for the weather, especially bring extra layers and gloves as it gets cold when we stop.
This ride is free of charge and donations are welcome. There will be snacks and tea available by donation at the roost, and feel free to bring your own to share as well.
Costumes encouraged! crow / black fancydress / earth
RAIN DATE: In case of heavy rain, other random unsafe weather conditions we will postpone to Sunday, March 10 at 6:30pm (Daylight Savings time change!). We will notify riders via this page and via the FaceBook event page HERE.
This gathering takes place on the unceded, occupied, and ancestral homelands of xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
This ride is brought to you by Still Moon Arts Society, the folks who bring you the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival. With snacks and tea by the Renfrew Collingwood Food Security Institute. Hosted by RedSara.
